During the 11 – 15th May 2009 in Brno will be the European Transport Research and Innovation Week. It is a Pan-European action concentrating main transport research activities, meeting of the key EU transport research associations, Networks of Excellence and Technology Platforms in transport with the EU representatives.
The organizers of this significant action are the Transport Research Center and the Ministry of Transport.
Though the idea follows the French project „EU French Presidency Event – Sustainable Transport & Mobility Research and Climate Change Challenge“, held in Lyon, 8 - 12 December 2008, the goal is to use this opportunity of the Czech EU Presidency for extension of the European transport research area across the whole Europe.
During the European Transport Research and Innovation Week, meetings of several European transport research associations and signatories of the Lyon Declaration will be organised. National Road Transport Technology Platform will be established during the ETRIW, incorporating research and academics, manufacturers and transport and infrastructure operators.
